Big installs don't just happen on the day of. There's a whole process that takes place before a single plant goes in the ground - sourcing the right material, picking healthy specimens, loading everything carefully, and getting it all staged at the job site. That prep work is what separates a clean, well-executed install from one that's thrown together.
For this upcoming design and install, we hand-selected a Blue Spruce, spreading Junipers, rounded Boxwoods, and natural boulders. Each plant was chosen with the finished design in mind - not just grabbed off a lot. The Blue Spruce alone is a statement piece. Full, dense branching, great color, and already a solid size. That's the kind of tree that anchors a landscape from day one.
The Junipers are going to add low, sweeping texture across the bed. They spread naturally over time and require very little maintenance once established. Pair that with the tight, uniform shape of the Boxwoods and you've got real contrast working in your favor. Structure and softness in the same planting.
Getting everything staged at the site the day before is something we do intentionally. It lets us walk the space one more time, confirm placement before anything gets dug, and make sure the install day runs smoothly from start to finish. No scrambling. No last-minute trips. Just clean execution.
Plant selection, delivery, layout, and install - it's all part of what we do with every landscape design and install job we take on. The details in the prep phase are what make the finished result look like it was always supposed to be there.
