Sometimes the existing landscaping just doesn't fit the house anymore. Overgrown shrubs, dated plantings, a layout that feels cluttered - it all adds up. That was exactly the situation here. The front beds had run their course, and the homeowner was ready for something cleaner and more intentional.

We started from scratch. Full tear-out using our Boxer mini skid - pulling shrubs, grinding stumps, clearing everything down to bare ground. Site prep done right is what makes the install go smoothly. Skip that step and you're just layering new plants on top of old problems.

Once the slate was clean, we got to work on the redesign. The goal was a planting plan that actually complemented the home's style - nothing overdone, nothing that would swallow the front of the house in a few years. We brought in hydrangeas, hostas, and columnar shrubs to add structure and seasonal color without going overboard. Fresh black mulch tied everything together and gave the beds a sharp, finished look.

The difference between before and after speaks for itself. What was once a heavy, overgrown front entry is now an open, well-proportioned bed that frames the home nicely. The lawn is clean, the beds are defined, and the whole front of the property just feels right. That's what good landscape design and install looks like - not just pretty plants, but a plan that works with the house.

We also have a happy customer at the end of it, and their testimonial is coming soon. That part never gets old for us.
